Roberto Bordiga began his musical career as a trumpeter but felt in love soon with double bass. He got his music diploma at CPM, Milan, in 2004, studying with renowned italian bassist Paolino Dalla Porta. In 2005 he attended the Siena Jazz Summer School where he won a scolarship for his artistic merits and had the chance to perform with Stefano Battaglia,Enrico Rava, Franco D'Andrea, Achille Succi and Eugenio Colombo. Later he joined the Permanent Musical Research Laboratories led by Stefano Battaglia. From 2003 he’s a steady member of Walter Beltrami Trio and others groups. He performed in many jazz festivals such as Clusone Jazz, Jammin in The Garden, Lago Maggiore Jazz, Dreamland, Jazz on the road, Moncalieri Jazz, Siena Jazz, Metro Jazz Zone, Barga Jazz and others. He performed with Francesco Bearzatti, Stefano Battaglia, Dan Kinzelman, Giovanni Guidi, Walter Beltrami, Emanuele Maniscalco, Francesco Bigoni, Federico Scettri, Cristiano Arcelli, Piero Delle Monache, Francesco Saiu, Paolo Bacchetta, Achille Succi, Rafael Schilt, Fabrizio Saiu, Eugenio Colombo, Franco D'Andrea, Fulvio Sigurtà, Andreas Brandis, Valerio Abeni, Roberto Soggetti, Christoph Irniger, Bebo Ferra, Michael Rosen and others.
