Re:think-art is a new label for jazz and improvised music, dedicated to releasing and promoting some of the most creative and original artists in the today’s music panorama. Born together with the first edition of the Re:think jazz festival, its aim is to release once a year the work of italian and international artists involved in the festival or sharing the same artistic vision.
We love all music which is fresh, unpredicatble and experimental but with a natural inclination to melody, in whatever form or degree it may appear. The music we like is urgency, creativity, energy, breath, risk and sound personality. We definitely don’t want to limit ourselves within any aesthetics. We are only interested in music which is ‘poetical’ in the etymological sense: music which makes something happen, which is happening…

TIMOKAThe new cd Timoka by Walter Beltrami is out! Besides the guitarist and leader of the band, Francesco Bearzatti, Emanuele Maniscalco and Roberto Bordiga. The cd, dedicated to the film works by Swedish Director Ingmar Bergman, was successfully presented at the Re:think Jazz Festival 09 (www.rethinkjazzfestival.com) and recently at Divaninjazz Festival 09.
